Job Description

Monk Law Group seeks a team-oriented professional to assist in a busy family law practice in Lakeland, Florida. The Legal Administrative Assistant serves a supporting role to the Managing Attorney and Office Manager with day-to-day office support, and is primarily responsible for managing email correspondence to and from the firm. This role is an entry-level position. Those in this position will be considered for promotion within the firm.

Preferred applicants have prior experience in administrative assistant positions and/or prior experience in the legal field, but such experience is not required. Candidates for this role will need the following skills and qualifications:

  • High school diploma (Associates Degree preferred, but not required);
  • Proficiency with email and excellent email etiquette;
  • Strong command of the English language;
  • Full-time availability Monday-Friday, from 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.;
  • Able to work in-person at our Lakeland office (with the possibility of some remote/hybrid work);
  • Strong organizational skills;
  • Willingness to learn basic legal drafting etiquette;
  • Self-discipline; and,
  • Critical and independent thinking.
