Job Title: Solutions Architect (AWS)

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced AWS Solutions Architect to design, architect, and lead cloud migration initiatives for a Federal end client. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in AWS cloud architecture, AWS GovCloud, FedRAMP, and enterprise migration projects involving VMware to AWS using AWS Application Migration Service (MGN). Candidates must hold an active AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional certification and have extensive hands-on AWS experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement secure, scalable, and highly available AWS cloud architectures.
Lead VMware to AWS migration projects using AWS Application Migration Service (MGN).
Develop cloud migration strategies and execute migration plans for enterprise workloads.
Architect solutions in compliance with FedRAMP security standards.
Design and deploy workloads within AWS GovCloud environments.
Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams throughout migration and modernization efforts.
Ensure AWS best practices for security, reliability, scalability, and cost optimization.
Produce architecture documentation, migration plans, and technical design documents.
Support cloud assessments, solution reviews, and technical guidance during project execution.
Required Skills:
7 8 years of hands-on AWS experience
AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional (Mandatory)
Strong expertise with AWS Cloud Architecture
Experience with AWS GovCloud
Hands-on knowledge of FedRAMP compliance requirements
Proven experience in VMware to AWS migration
Experience using AWS Application Migration Service (MGN)
Cloud infrastructure design and migration planning
Security and compliance best practices in AWS
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting Federal or Government clients.
Strong understanding of cloud security frameworks and governance.
Experience with enterprise-scale cloud migration projects.
Excellent documentation and solution design experience.
