Job Description
A leading manufacturer is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to oversee ISO 9001 compliance and continuous improvement. This role manages product inspections, leads a team of inspectors, and utilizes SPC and Root Cause Analysis to drive Lean/Six Sigma initiatives. Responsibilities
Quality System Maintenance : Follow all quality assurance protocols, policies, and procedures. Audit compliance and continuous improvement initiatives for compliance to ISO 9001.
Process Improvement : Utilizing data (i.e. SPC, Root Cause Analysis) to identify improvements and drive Lean and/or Six Sigma initiatives, reduce cost of quality
Quality Inspection : Monitoring product development and inspecting raw materials and final products, with authority to reject non-compliant items.
Leadership: Supervising quality inspectors, including training and performance management.
Audit & Compliance : Performing internal audits, ensuring adherence to legal, safety, and regulatory standards.
Liaison Act as the primary point of contact for client quality issues. Work with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Production on continuous improvement activities.
Reporting : Maintaining proper metrics and records to analyze and mitigate non-conformances and reduce Cost of Quality for the company.
Skills
- Calipers, micrometers, gauges (2 years of experience is required)
- ISO 9001 (2 years of experience is required)
- Root cause Analysis tools (2 years of experience is preferred)
- Supervising and Training
- CMM and Microscopes (2 years of experience is preferred)
