Schedule: Full-Time | 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM

Connections Mental Health is dedicated to providing compassionate, client-centered care in a safe and supportive environment. We are seeking a reliable and motivated Mental Health Technician to join our team and help support clients throughout their treatment journey.

Position Overview

As a Mental Health Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining a structured, therapeutic environment while ensuring client safety and well-being. Responsibilities include client intakes, medication observation, documentation, monitoring clients, and supporting daily operations within the facility.

Essential Responsibilities

• Complete client intakes and maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Assist with medication passes as directed
• Conduct routine client rounds and observations
• Monitor client behavior and ensure compliance with facility rules and expectations
• Maintain accurate and timely charting
• Assist with organizing client files and administrative documentation
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and treatment team members
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and crisis situations
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and confidentiality requirements

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• CPR and First Aid Certification required (or ability to obtain upon hire)
• Experience in behavioral health, mental health, addiction treatment, healthcare, or related field preferred
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
• Ability to occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds
• Reasonable accommodations may be made for qualified individuals with disabilities

Health & Safety Requirements

• TB test completed within one year prior to hire or within seven (7) days of employment; annual testing thereafter
• Pre-employment health screening required
• Must successfully complete a Livescan/background check in accordance with California law
