Job Description

The Coordinator is responsible for conducting routine physical audits of all assets, specialized hardware, and stock. You will maintain an accurate digital database by logging item locations, serial numbers, and maintenance history. Additionally, you will manage procurement by monitoring stock levels and coordinating with vendors for timely replenishment. The role involves processing all incoming deliveries, verifying packing slips against orders, and organizing storage layouts for maximum efficiency. Periodically, you will prepare reports regarding asset lifecycles, loss prevention, and budget expenditures for management review.

Position Summary

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Coordinator to manage the tracking, organization, and maintenance of our facility’s assets. You will ensure departments have necessary resources while maintaining a rigorous digital and physical inventory system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Asset Tracking: Conduct physical audits of furniture, equipment, and technology.

  • Database Management: Update inventory systems to ensure data accuracy regarding item location and status.

  • Procurement Support: Monitor stock levels and initiate purchase orders to prevent shortages.

  • Logistics & Receiving: Inspect incoming shipments for damage and coordinate proper storage.

  • Reporting: Generate monthly reports on inventory turnover, loss, and equipment lifecycles.

  • Organization: Maintain labeling systems and storage solutions to maximize space.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 1–2 years in inventory control, stockroom management, or administration.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory management software.

  • Attention to Detail: High accuracy in tracking serial numbers and stock counts.

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods during audits.

  • Communication: strong skills for coordinating with vendors and department heads.
