Job Description

The Resort at Longboat Key Club is seeking a dedicated and experienced Event Manager to join our team in Longboat Key, FL. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing a wide range of events while ensuring exceptional guest experiences that reflect the luxury and exclusivity of our resort. Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and manage all types of events including weddings, corporate meetings, social gatherings, and special occasions.
• Work closely with clients to understand their event needs and deliver personalized service.
• Coordinate with internal departments such as catering, housekeeping, and operations to ensure seamless event execution.
• Develop event budgets and manage expenses to maximize profitability.
• Negotiate and manage vendor contracts and relationships and sales leads.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and legal regulations during events.
• Handle any issues or emergencies during events promptly and professionally.
• Maintain detailed records of events, client communications, and feedback.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years in event planning or similar role, preferably within the hospitality or resort industry.
• Previous experience working in a 4 or 5-star property
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Event Planning, or related field is preferred.
• Sales-Force operating system experience preferred
• Must have a clean driving record.
