Summary

Nevada GrantLab collaborates with local nonprofits to build capacity and unlock resources that empower our communities to thrive. The Communications and Marketing Manager, a new position, will develop and implement an integrated strategy that drives understanding, support, and engagement among GrantLab’s wide range of partners and stakeholders.

What You Will Do

An experienced and proactive communications and marketing professional, you will measurably build awareness of GrantLab and increase utilization of our programs and services through various marketing and communication efforts. You will work across our organization to identify and effectively address opportunities for communication and marketing to advance our mission. You will be equal parts strategic and hands-on, responsible for building and executing plans and activities.

  • Develop and execute communications and marketing strategies and tactical plans, including articulation of goals and objectives, audience segmentation, content calendar, messaging, and measurement.
  • Create, edit, and distribute compelling graphic and written content for multiple channels, including email, website, social media, events, presentations, reports, and general marketing collateral.
  • Manage day-to-day implementation of all communications and marketing activities.
  • Maintain a library of up-to-date assets and content.
  • Work across teams to develop and manage projects from concept to delivery, ensuring quality, timeliness, and cost-management.
  • Ensure all communications and marketing align to GrantLab’s values and objectives.
  • Monitor and, as appropriate, adopt industry best practices and trends.
  • Contribute to development and implementation of policies, processes and initiatives related to branding, communications and marketing.
  • Regular reporting on marketing KPIs, progress on marketing goals and objectives, and analysis of opportunities to improve.

Qualifications and Competencies

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or related field. Additional experience will be considered as a substitute to formal education.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in communications, marketing, or related fields.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate and present to a variety of audiences.
  • Proficiency in marketing tools including web and graphic design platforms such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite, CRM and email marketing tools such as HubSpot, and other related software.
  • Self-motivated, able to juggle simultaneous projects and competing priorities.
  • Availability to work outside of traditional business hours, travel locally, and to occasionally travel regionally and nationally.

Preferred:

  • Website content management (WordPress, Squarespace, etc.).
  • Advanced graphic design.
  • Earned and paid media.
  • Photography and basic video editing.
  • Experience working with GrantLab’s stakeholders including local nonprofit organizations and professionals, government administrators and policymakers, and nonprofit funders.

Working at GrantLab

  • Compensation: The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $90,000 annually, plus a discretionary, performance-based annual bonus up to 5% of salary.
  • Benefits: We offer an excellent benefits package that includes 401(k) with employer match up to 4%; health, vision, and dental insurance (100% premium coverage for employees, 50% for dependents); generous PTO and holidays; and professional development opportunities.
  • Hybrid Work: Three days in office, two days remote.
