Property Maintenance Personnel Ogunquit, ME The Colonial Inn is seeking a highly organized, proactive and motivated individual with an outgoing personality to perform day-to-day upkeep of our hotel. Responsibilities & Requirements Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Conducting routine inspections and/or repairs of premises and equipment
• Performing preventative maintenance, including but not limited to
• Cleaning air filters and PTAC units
• Room inspections for loose/missing hardware
• Overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary
• Repairing and plastering walls and/or ceilings
• Painting indoor and outdoor spaces
• Communicate with housekeeping to resolve any room issues
• Preforms the cleaning and maintenance of the pool.
• Weeding, light landscaping, trimming and dead-heading of flowers and plants.

Requirements:

• General maintenance experience a must.
• Ability to obtain the Certified Pool Operator certification
• Ability to be on call, work weekends, and work longer shifts as needed.
• ***Hours may vary during the winter season.***
• Skilled in the use of hand and power tools. including but not limited to hammers, saws, drills, wrenches, hoists, etc.
• Ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts.
• Ability to check blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices.
• Strong organizational and follow up skills.
• Eye for detail.
• Professional presentation and attitude.
• Ability to maintain focus while working individually.
• Strong time management skills.
• Positive attitude and willingness to help guests and staff.

About The Colonial Inn Long ago, before Ogunquit had a library, a bridge that connected the mainland to the beach, street lamps, or even electricity, there stood The Colonial Inn. Now the last of the grand hotels of Ogunquit, The Colonial Inn has provided shelter and genuine Maine hospitality for over 130 years. Over the years the inn has expanded, consisting of 62 rooms spread over four buildings, a heated outdoor pool & hot tub, fire pit, lawn games and a beautiful wrap-around porch to enjoy the fresh air and truly relax.
