Job Summary

Reporting to the Senior Director, Collaborative Direct Marketing, the Associate Director, Collaborative Direct Marketing will be responsible for providing overarching program and project management of the Collaborative Fundraising (CF) Direct Marketing Program. They will work closely with Sr. Specialist in supporting affiliate success in the program with the intent to “future proof” fundraising efforts to raise the most income possible to fund Habitat’s mission in collaboration with Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI). This position will also work with other internal cross functional teams such as IT, Finance and Communications as well as Direct Marketing agency partners where applicable.

This position is integral to the successful execution of the CF Direct Marketing program. It requires both strategic and tactical skills and experience in program, project, and people management. In return, the right candidate will be helping to shape and execute a direct marketing fundraising program that aims to enable a world where everyone has a decent place to live. This is a two-year position.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• The Associate Director will be responsible for overarching projects that are fundamental in creating and maintaining a world-class Direct Marketing program. For example: program strategy and analysis; budget creation, approval, management, and maintenance; vendor/agency management; marketing strategies; test design, etc. Note that for the functions mentioned above, the level of responsibility will vary (create, and/or approve, and/or supervise or advise). (40%)

• Will interact closely with the Sr. Specialist on the team as they serve as leads for gathering affiliate resources, provide supporting documentation and reports, managing affiliate relationships, and communicating strategy and results to affiliates as relates to the integration of the Collaborative Operating Model Direct Marketing Program at Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI). (15%)

• Lead efforts of the Collaborative Fundraising Direct Marketing team to perform Quality Control functions on select information before sending that information to affiliates and/or donors. (15%)

• Serve as the Collaborative Fundraising Direct Marketing Program representative for a select group of affiliates. (10%)

• Oversee and create affiliate communications relating to the Collaborative Fundraising Direct Marketing Program, including affiliate meetings (20%)

Minimum Qualifications


Education

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.


Years of Related Experience
• 5+ years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, managing multiple projects effectively and efficiently.
• Experience with direct marketing mail, telemarketing and digital campaigns, and experience staying on top of best practices and trends.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Strong technology skills and experience that ideally includes an understanding of large-scale database management; nonprofit constituency relationship management systems; and web-application development processes.
• Strong analytical skills and experience creating reports.
• Exceptional communication and relationship building skills, including the ability to write and speak clearly and effectively, with excellent listening skills.
• Self-starter with an entrepreneurial and creative approach to problem-solving, and the ability to take advantage of Experience leading and collaborating with others in a complex, matrix-structured, multinational, dynamic organizational environment.
• Excellent project management and account management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and tasks concurrently.
• Experience with MS Office environment, including Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook, etc.

Preferred Requirements
• Experience working in a federated organization with chapters or affiliates.
Commitment to the Habitat for Humanity mission.

Individual of unquestionable integrity whose professional and personal conduct reflect Habitat’s core values.
Experience working with SAFe Agile teams preferred, but not required

The actual salary offered for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including location, internal equity and the candidate’s qualifications and professional experience. HFHI offers a competitive, comprehensive benefits package that varies by country and typically includes vacation leave, sick leave, personal days, health insurance options, retirement plan contributions and life insurance. For work locations in the US, the hiring range for this position is $74,460 to $87,600.

Staff hired on a hybrid basis in the United States near an HFHI office location (Atlanta, Georgia / Americus, GA / Washington, D.C.), are required to report to the office on Tuesdays.
